  • The Alexander (soon to be renamed The Alex), The Davenport and the Stephen’s Green Hotel are due for an upgrade totalling €30m.  They are all part of the O’Callaghan Hotel Group. 
  • Dalata have announced plans to add 8,000 rooms to its UK base of hotels over the next 5 – 7 years.  They are targeting 20 cities with the view to take between 10% to 15% of the regional hotel market.  Dalata currently operate 8 hotels in the UK. 
  • Muckross Park Hotel have reported 2016 accounts showing a post-tax loss of €198,732.  2016 however saw gross profit increase by €1m to €4.8m.  The company saw 2015 accounts reporting a post-tax loss of €836,804.  However, strong earnings are expected for 2017 and 2018 according to management accounts and budgets.  New owners iNua Hospitality purchased the hotel for €6.25m.
